Budget & Administrative Support

Supporting Organized CACFP Financial & Administrative Practices

Honorable CACFP Sponsorship Inc. provides program-related budget and administrative support designed to help participating organizations understand applicable CACFP financial responsibilities, maintain organized records, and support effective program operations.

HCS works with sponsored organizations to help them understand the relationship between program activity, documentation, allowable costs, administrative responsibilities, and other financial considerations associated with CACFP participation.

How HCS Supports Budget & Administrative Needs

Supporting Responsible Program Stewardship

Effective CACFP participation involves more than submitting meal claims. Participating organizations may also need to maintain appropriate financial and administrative records that support responsible program operations.

HCS helps sponsored organizations understand how budgeting, documentation, administrative organization, and program oversight work together to support responsible participation.

Budget & Administrative Support by Program Type

Budget and administrative requirements may differ depending on the CACFP setting.

HCS provides program-specific guidance for:

Child Care Centers

Family Child Care Homes

Emergency Shelters

At-Risk Afterschool Sites

Adult Care Centers & Facilities

Maryland & District of Columbia Budget Information

Many financial and administrative principles are based on federal CACFP requirements, while certain budget procedures, agency expectations, forms, or documentation requirements may vary by jurisdiction.

HCS provides guidance based on the participating organization’s site type, location, and applicable requirements.
